The Fourth International Conference for Software Craftsmen

To celebrate the work of computing pioneer Alan Turing, the theme this year is Computer Science For Software Craftsmen. (Why?)

We’re looking for 30 and 60-minute hands-on sessions that will stretch us as craftsmen, but also educate us about data structures & algorithms.

We have two rules:

1. Live coding with audience participation

2. It must feature a famous algorithm (please check to see if that algorithm’s already been submitted)

Resources on data structures & algorithms

The best sessions at previous conferences have been simple. Katas, dojos, games and challenges have worked especially well.

To submit your idea, you can blog about it or do a screencast roughly demonstrating the practical elements.

Please remember to include the following:

1. The proposed session length (30 or 60 mins)

2. An explanation of the algorithm featured

3. A rough outline of how the session will work and what it will require technically (from participants and from the organisers and venue)

4. Code!

Email a link to your blog or screencast to jason.gorman@codemanship.com for inclusion on this web site. The best submissions will be selected on May 15th.

You must be registered for the conference for your submission to be considered.
